About Mono Aurel

Mono Aurel is an independent sculptural design studio. We make lighting, totems, mirrors and benches in hand-layered mineral plaster, one piece at a time.

Design Language

Our references are architectural rather than decorative: ancient columns, primitive stone forms, lunar surfaces, organic erosion and modern sculptural abstraction. The pieces sit between art, architecture and functional object, and are designed to belong to a room rather than fill it.

The Atelier

Mono Aurel operates through Mono Aurel LLC, a company registered in Wyoming, United States. Our production atelier and material workshop are in Kayseri, Türkiye. Every piece is formed, hand-finished and packed there by our atelier team. See the atelier.

Materials

Each piece begins as a lightweight sculptural core, shaped and carved by hand and reinforced where the form needs it. Over it we build layers of mineral plaster, applied, dried and worked back until the surface reads like weathered stone. Mineral pigments, limewash tones and protective finishes are applied by hand for the finish you choose.

The result has the look of stone at a fraction of the weight, takes the mark of a tool and keeps it, and holds light softly. Read the full process.

Made to Order

Each piece is made after you order it. Standard production typically takes 5–10 business days; custom commissions and highly detailed pieces can take longer, and the product page states it where a piece differs. We send photos and videos during production and a final video before dispatch. Your piece ships only after you have approved it.

Made to order does not mean final sale. Catalogue pieces in their listed sizes, colours and finishes can be returned within 14 days of delivery, and every piece carries a one-year limited warranty. Projects and Commissions
